Cobalt Application For parents, students, and staff
We are pleased to offer you a new complementary tool to quickly receive important information, including emergency school closures, directly on your phone. With the Cobalt application, you’ll be instantly notified by SMS and emails, or calls.
You will be able to register to receive messages from the school board, as well as from individual schools or centres.
Emergency Communications from the School Board

The School Board’s Emergency Communications are messages related to emergency situations that may require partial or complete school board closures. These may be due to a variety of circumstances, including inclement weather, power outages, lockdowns, and other events impacting safety or operations. These communications are issued directly by the School Board to ensure timely and accurate information reaches all stakeholders during emergencies.

Important communications from schools or centres are essential messages that your child’s school or study program centre wants to ensure you receive. These messages, sent directly from the school or centre, cover significant updates or events, such as the posting of report cards on Mozaïk, changes to exam schedules, graduation ceremonies, and more. These notifications are intended to keep you informed about key activities and updates relevant to your child’s education or your study program.
- To ensure you receive notifications, please make sure that the phone number we use is not blocked and that messages from us do not go to your spam folder.
- Please also note that this tool does not provide replies to messages.
School Transportation
Parents can also register on Cobalt to receive notifications about service failures for yellow buses or berlines, whether in the morning or afternoon. To sign up, you will need to select your child’s bus number(s) during the registration process. Please note that currently, only service failure notifications are available through Cobalt, while information about delays will continue to be sent by email as usual. If you are unsure of your child’s bus number, you can find it in their profile on Mozaïk Parents.
By registering with Cobalt (by choice), you agree that Cobalt will be storing and using your personal information such as your name, phone number, and email address, solely for the purpose of sending you the notifications that you have indicated as wishing to receive. This information will not be shared with any third parties and will be deleted at the end of each school year.
