Material Resources

Mandate

The Material Resources team is responsible for keeping our schools and centres in a state of operation that is safe and secure for our clientele and staff.

The team evaluates and manages repairs to be done in our buildings while respecting the budgetary rules established by the Ministry of Education, Recreation and Sports and Riverside School Board.

The team is also responsible for establishing and ensuring the respect of standards in building management including facility usage, daily operations and capital projects.

The Material Resources Department adheres to the concept of sustainable development, which is defined as development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. We do so by using energy efficiently to reduce the production of greenhouse gases, by promoting environmentally friendly products and technology, and by reducing, reusing and recycling goods and materials.
