A fine visit to GPI!
On November 14, school principal Julie Ruel and 4th graders from Greenfield Park Primary International School received a visit from Longueuil city councilor Sylvain Joly.
This visit is part of the grand tour of elementary schools of the City of Longueuil. Last February, the mayor’s office purchased some 50 boxes of children’s books from the authors present at the Salon du livre jeunesse de Longueuil, and each of the city’s schools was allocated a box of books.
The presentation of the box by Mr. Joly was a great opportunity for our students to meet him. Mr. Joly also discussed democracy and political representation, as well as answering the students’ many questions.
Mr. Dan Lamoureux, Chairman of Riverside School Board, and Mr. Christopher Craig, Vice-Chair, also chatted with Mr. Joly and the students.
