On September 23, the Grade 3 and 4 students at Royal Charles School attended a presentation on the importance of wearing a bike helmet. The activity, coordinated by Mr. Ian Lafrenière, MNA for Vachon, was a great success.

Many students brought their own helmets, which Simon from “Never Without My Helmet” carefully inspected. He checked for expiration dates, compliance with regulations, straps, size, and materials. A properly fitted helmet is essential for protecting the brain in case of an accident or fall. Students with non-compliant helmets were provided with a new one. Safety first! The presentation also explained the potential injuries from accidents and how to properly fasten and adjust a helmet.

A big thank you to everyone for this valuable activity, and special thanks to Mr. Lafrenière for coordinating this outstanding event.
