The Council of Commissioners of Riverside School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Chantale Scroggins as the new Director General, effective September 3, 2024. This decision was made during a special meeting of the Riverside School Board Council of Commissioners held on June 11, 2024.
As the current Assistant Director General, Mrs. Scroggins brings a distinguished career in education administration and a deep commitment to student success to her new role. Her extensive experience and dedication to the school board’s mission make her exceptionally well suited to guide Riverside into the future.
With over 17 years of experience as an educational administrator, including twelve years in senior administrative positions, Mrs. Scroggins has been instrumental in driving key initiatives at Riverside. She played a key role in leading and developing professional development on equity, diversity, and inclusion, working with the Office of the Director General to develop the new Commitment-to-Success Plan and leading consultations to implement the ACCESS Improvement Plan. These experiences have allowed her to develop a deep understanding of the intricacies of school administration, budget management, and staff development. Her ability to foster positive relationships with stakeholders and create inclusive learning environments has been a cornerstone of her leadership. She has held various key positions before becoming Assistant Director General, which has allowed her to gain a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the educational field.
The appointment of Mrs. Scroggins ensures the continuity of strong, visionary leadership at Riverside School Board. Her forward-thinking approach and ability to address challenges and opportunities in the education sector will help elevate the school board’s performance.
