When is the first day of school for the 2024-2025 school year?

August 29st is the first day of school.

Where can I find the school calendar?

You can find the Riverside School Board calendars under “School Information” under the Parents & Students tab on the yellow menu of the website.

Please note that schools have a school-based pedagogical day that does not appear on the calendar. Your child’s school will share its calendar.

Where can I find the School Supply Lists for my child?

You can click on the “School Supply Lists” square in the Quick Links section of the website (bottom) or under “Parents” under Parents & Students tab on the yellow menu of the website.

When will I receive information for the first day of school?

Our schools and centres are closed for a few weeks in the summertime. School and centre staff comes back around mid-August; however, teachers are back in schools only on August 22nd. Therefore, emails to parents will be sent only a few days before school starts (August 29). Depending on the schools, it could also be possible that an email is sent the day before the first day of classes.

Can I find out the name of the teacher that will teach my child before school starts?

Although some schools start working on class groups early, new registrations in the summertime could mean that groups and teachers are susceptible to change. Parents and students will find out on the first day of school.

Where can I find the information on my child’s bus route?

Transportation information for the 2024-2025 school year will be available on August 22, 2024, on mozaik portal. We therefore invite you to check the information from that date.

My child will eat at school at lunchtime. How much are the noon-hour supervision fees?

The school will let you know this information as it is a decision taken by the Governing Board.

How do I make sure I receive my school tax bill from Riverside School Board?

Once you have registered your child, it is important to complete a form to pay your school taxes to Riverside School Board.  The form can be found by clicking here.

To obtain information concerning school taxes, please consult the Taxation section of this website (in the “Parents and Students” menu, under “Parents”, you can select Taxation ).  Any remaining questions concerning school taxes may then be addressed to the Taxation Department:  taxation@rsb.qc.ca
